Description

Class Description

A 5Rhythms® class offered by Tara Achkar, a 5Rhythms Teacher in Training, mentored by Ray Diaz and Stuart Phillips.

Emerging Waves is a class where you are invited to move through the 5Rhythms with simple guidance, exploring body parts giving space for your personal expression. Music becomes the teacher alongside the trainee, supporting your movement practice through the Waves map of Flowing, Staccato, Chaos, Lyrical and Stillness.

Rooted in the teachings of Gabrielle Roth, 5Rhythms® is practiced by tens of thousands of people around the world. It is a movement meditation, a creative path, and a philosophy grounded in the belief that when we move, we heal. Movement becomes both medicine and metaphor – opening space for personal insight, and embodied presence.

This practice welcomes every body, every culture, every age, and every level of experience. Wherever the 5Rhythms are danced, a community forms – one that moves together, sweats together, grows together, and supports one another’s freedom and authenticity. Here we meet ourselves and each other with curiosity, kindness, and the courage to be real.

Creativity. Connection. Community.

All bodies are welcome. All movement is welcome.

What to Expect

Each 2-hour 5Rhythms® session is guided, moving through each Rhythm. The class includes a brief arrival and warm-up, a fully guided movement wave, and time for integration and grounding.

No choreography or dance experience required.
